Today is Alwyn’s birthday! I haven’t yet taken his monthly picture, so instead of sharing that, I’m touring you through his room.
This room came together in my head over a year ago. Before I even knew if he was a boy or girl, I knew I wanted a very light nursery. For a girl: pinks, oranges, and greens. For a boy: greens, oranges, and blues (since I was going to use a lot of hand-me-downs from Ephram). It took a year to really feel it was complete, but last week I added his name above his crib and it finally felt close (enough) to be considered done. I also finally took out the baby swing, which had become more of a toy for the boys than anything else. Yay for Alwyn taking decent naps in his crib!

The frame on the left is a little DIY art I did using paint chip samples, inspired by this pin. And the frame on the right holds a page out of the retired magazine, Blueprint. I tore it out and have saved it probably 7 years ago.
This changing table/dresser was mine when I was a baby. Before Ephram was born we painted it white, and just recently I added the numbers to the drawers. We rarely changed Alwyn on the changing table though, so I took the pad off awhile ago and now we just store diapers and blankets on top for easy access.

This mobile is straight out of Ephram’s nursery. And you’ll notice it got a little bent up from our move from MN, but it works. I used this Photo Clip Mobile + some scrapbook paper to make it.
And lastly, the chair I’ve spent hours upon hours rocking my sweet boy to sleep. Especially those first few months when sleep felt nearly impossible. But the past several months it’s been the spot I’ve nursed, read, and rocked him before bed nearly every single night. The blanket was made by my mom for Ephram, but he already has about 5 favorite blankets, so I passed this one down to Alwyn.
