I have to say, I love how well Studio Calico‘s kit colors adjust for the seasons. Even here in Houston, where our seasons don’t quite follow the rest of the world, I find it easy to choose cards from the kit that match my weekly photos.
My mom was visiting the beginning part of this week, and though I don’t always force photos into chronological order, I kept the photos with her on the left side.
I really love sticking to Design A when I want to keep things easy and that was definitely the case here. I love photos, but when it comes to Project Life, my least favorite part is deciding where they should go. Once that’s done, the rest is pure fun for me.

I altered a couple of Studio Calico cards on the left side. For the first, I added a piece of blue paper and stitched along the top to attached it. The second, I added a piece of kraft paper and used a white gel pen to create a date card.

I didn’t have a lot of in depth stories for this spread and instead opted for a bulleted/icon list using the stamp set from Studio Calico’s October kit.
The ‘hello” was created with a silk-screen in the kit. Since I already had used copper diamond overlays in the spread, I made matching copper paint by mixing gold and orange I had on hand. So fun.

The card on the far right was inspired by Ali’s Diamonds are Forever digital overlays. I already had quite a few diamond embellishments I wanted to use from the Studio Calico kit so it just made sense to add one of these diamonds as well. I cut out the blue and pink diamond to match and outlined them with a white gel pen.
Love leaving the photos alone and having fun with my cards.
