I’ll admit, Project Life is more fun when you have lots of photos to choose from. In the case of week 36, I had the opposite issue: too many photos. Usually I’d leave a few out and force myself to only select the absolute favorites, but this was the week my mom was visiting and I broke the “rules” a little. Since we don’t live near family, photos of my boys with family always make it into the book.
Here’s a look at the first part of week 36.
This was the week we held a hummingbird for a few minutes, we had MN friends move down to TX, and Ephram started school. I used a Design G pocket page in the middle of two Design As to include extra photos this week.
For this spread I played around more with printing digital elements right onto journaling cards. Both the “stories matter to me because:” and “today you” elements are from Ali Edwards‘ new designs.

For the second half of the week’s spread, I focused on photos from our visit to a local arboretum while my mom was visiting.
I bought a new black ink pad before completing this spread, so I was motivated to use lots of stamps. The circle and rainy stamps are from Freckled Fawn, and the winking face is from Studio Calico.
Are you a stickler about minimizing how many photos you use in a spread or do you go photo crazy?
